Auto Detailing

Auto detailing is the process of thoroughly cleaning, polishing, and protecting the various surfaces of a vehicle to bring it to its maximum level of shine and luster. It is a meticulous process that involves a variety of techniques and products to restore a vehicle's exterior and interior to its original condition.

One of the first steps in auto detailing is washing the exterior of the vehicle. This involves using a high-quality car soap such as Magnum Detailing WASH & WAX and a soft, non-abrasive wash mitt to gently scrub the surface of the car, paying special attention to areas that tend to collect dirt and grime, such as the wheels and tires. After the car has been washed, it is rinsed off with a high-pressure hose to remove any remaining soap and dirt.

Next, the exterior of the car is dried using a microfiber towel or a leaf blower to remove any remaining water droplets. This is an important step because if the car is left to air dry, water droplets can dry and leave water spots on the surface.

After the exterior has been washed and dried, the next step is to polish and wax the car to restore its shine and luster. This process involves using a polishing compound to remove any surface imperfections, such as scratches, swirl marks, and water spots. The compound is applied to the surface of the car using a polisher or by hand, and then buffed off using a soft, clean cloth.

Once the polishing is complete, the car is ready for waxing. Wax helps to protect the car's paint and gives it a deep, glossy shine. There are two types of wax: natural waxes, which are made from natural ingredients such as carnauba, and synthetic waxes, which are made from a blend of chemicals. Both types of wax provide excellent protection and shine, but natural waxes tend to provide a deeper, more natural-looking shine unless you're using a Ceramic Coating. Check out our blog post about Ceramic Coatings.

In addition to polishing and waxing the exterior of the car, auto detailing also involves cleaning and conditioning the interior of the vehicle. This includes vacuuming the carpets and upholstery, cleaning the dashboard, windows, and door panels, and conditioning the leather or vinyl surfaces. This is best achieved by using Magnum Detailing INTERIOR CLEANER, INTERIOR DRESSING & GLASS CLEANER
